Valerie Tauro is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and writer based in the New York metropolitan area. As an interdisciplinary creative, she loves exploring the various intersections of oral and aural storytelling, with a particular interest in film scores.

She currently serves as a contributing writer and editorial intern for the literary blog Hey Young Writer. Her recent publications include The Angels’ Love, Like Driftwood, and Caesura.

Valerie holds a BA in music and English with a concentration in creative writing from Fordham University.
